When an individual views a work of art, they are not necessarily gaining an understanding of the Artist’s intent, so much as they are seeing some aspect of themselves being reflected back at them. The same may be said for the entirety of a person’s circumstance. In providing an avenue for a quiet mind, and for freedom, as well as reflection, art has the potential to alter the course of the individual, and the individual has the potential to alter the course of their community.
